HAGINS would record his own "demos" at 251 and he would rip apart speakers with holes to create a "distorted" sound; "Later on, I got into the Jesus And Mary Chain and albums like Psychocandy ,.. as I "plotted" for an "alternative rock" TAKE-OVER ,.." BUT HAGINS SOON FOUND LABELS both indie and major not too receptive of his indie rock ideas,.. deep in the middle of the heavy metal glam days of the 1980's; "Punk rock was dead then,.." says Hagins. "But about 88', 1989,. it slowly began to live again,."

Hagins eventually needed to take his act to the live stage and in 1986, he began jamming with two South Bay warriors in Guitarist Phil Keegan and bassist Red Headed Rick "Ted" Carmody and together, they formed THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT,.. A THREE PIECE BAND THAT HAGINS WOULD DESCRIBE IN FLYERS as a group that would "take you to the Zenith of a kind of grunge rock Euphoria Orgasm live ,.. LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE !"

"This is G.e's 'My Generation',.. and really there is no other Song from our band that sounds anything quite like this one." Says Guitarist Clark The Shark Hagins in 2020. The track has amassed millions of views online since Hagins introduced the song to the web in the late 1990's BUT this Song indeed was recorded In May 1990 as part of the band's "Immorally Moral" Three Song Ep ( along with "Coke Snorting" and "Virus O' Syrus.") Cassette as it features the band's former guitarist Phil Keegan to the surprise of many, and NOT Hagins on Guitar. "At the time, I was ,..of course, .. the Drummer of G.e. but many to most people today feel this song is MY SONG,..and they may be partially right there" ( Laughs ),..The Song burns fast yet melodic ,..and certainly comes packed with a punk rock angst which is largely different from the rest of the then G.e. catalog as it gave a preview maybe perhaps to future tracks to come such as "Ben is Dead" and "Manipulation.".... "People would come to our shows thinking that we were a punk rock band" Says Hagins "But ,..really,..this was one of our only songs like that - at least at the time ,..We never really had another except for maybe "Ben is Dead" from 1991.
"Waiting" Seems to pack some kind of anger directed at some young lady but Hagins says the song was meant to be funny and ironic ,..describing some mad man psycho talking silly shit; "The track was supposed to be satire,.. Fred Flinstone shit ,.. like the Way Outs,.. ( LOL ),..it was completely over the Top punk rock silly lyrics making fun of punk rock and people like Henry Rollins but a lot of folks took it as I really meant it ,.."
The Song is well on display at the Classic Hermosa Saloon Gig footage from August 16, 1991 ,..and seems to display Hagins' Genius Visionary ,.. "Vision" for the future of Grunge and Indie Alternative Rock Music as this was often played live and as Hagins puts it "Way before anything and everyone who would come later",... On that night, G.e. appear as three "sullen" lads in sloven clothing ,..totally unknowing of the "Seattle" Music explosion about to happen ,..
